Nothing much to say about this outfit. I feel like I should attend Hogwarts every time i put this on. I really do have a penchant for Club Monaco jackets/blazers...just so well made! Yesterday was cold, but today is a bit warmer, so a light blazer will do. It's been a hard Monday. I couldn't settle down in one spot to study, so I ended up moving to 2 different cafes, and then my best friend called me and told me to go home. So i did. I sat in my room, and cranked out an essay. Finally. I will be in the same spot tomorrow.

birdie bank

I bought this adorable little birdie bank at Pottery Barn Kids because I want to save money to buy a new camera body. My friend Irene showed me the link and I immediately fell in love. It's perfect for my french theme knick knacks I've accumulated over the years, so I went to the store and picked it up. I'm not even gona lie...I want most of the stuff in that store for myself. The lovely white dressers, piggy banks, duvets, teddy bears, etc...so cute!!!

A blazer does wonderous things. Simple, black, classy. Invest in a well tailored one that fits your body and everyone will ask why you decided to dress up today. All i did was throw on this jacket, clip on this random flower and it does the trick. I can't remember where I found the white flower, but i clip it to whatever I want to add some variety.

I'm kind of obsessed with this kid. She is just the best thing ever. Her name is Ava and she's half Vietnamese and half Italian. Only 5 months and is already half her mum's length!! I didn't plan on shooting her until we planned a session, but who can resist this face?! Chi brought her to Starbucks to visit me while I was studying, and I happen to have my dslr with me. Just some pics I took while she was in her mum's arms. She doesn't cry or fuss at all, but is completely alert and intent. I held up the camera and she stared right into the lens without me calling her name. She loves to balance standing up too so she'll be walking by the time she's 1, just watch.

This is my absolute favorite piece from 830sign. 100% Italian cashmere, the perfectly cropped length, and the warm fuzziness makes this the perfect study sweater. The tee, I will have to do in another blog. It actually says SAME SAME, but DIFFERENT on the front and back!!! It was the theme in Bangkok, and I just had to get a kitschy tee to commemorate our favorite phrase. I just layered the green to contrast the blue for this outfit. I wore this outfit pretty much everyday in some variation or another the past 2 weeks. I finally caught my brother today to snap these quick photos before the sun set.

I got this cross in Dublin, Ireland on this last trip. We bought so many lucky charms along the way, but i realized that I didn't have a cross. I was on the hunt for one in Paris, preferably at Notre Dame, but nothing was under $100. I found this 18 carat covered cross in a store at the duty free, but it was just too pretty to pass up. We were in transit, going home, and it was just the perfect ending present to myself. My mum gave me a gold cross when I was 5...I still have it...but when i showed her this cross, she thought it was a nice supplement for when I want to change it up. Yay! Mum approved!

Got these boots in Paris at Bocage on Rue de Rivoli. I searched high and low for the perfect pair of Parisian boots to bring home, and these were it. Comfy, high, warm, and so effing cute.

violet hour

Violet Hour is an amazing studio and art gallery in downtown Fullerton. The Art Walk is full of fun surprises, and Violet Hour is no exception. Artists come and show off their work, and everything is on sale. I went to see my best friend Leanne Roberson Sargeant's show. Her series is amazing, and here are some photos I took while walking through the gallery. There are 3 or 4 warehouses connected and a lot of artists were showing this month. It's a great venue and all artwork shown is on sale...so go check it out!!!!

I went to see a few friends show their work this month, and was taken aback by the gallery. Mike and Candace have done an amazing job with the space they own, and the way they display their artists' work makes the whole experience super fun and unique. Every nook and cranny of the warehouse has something interesting, and i feel like I'm walking through a labyrinth of personal expression.
